Renewable energy developer Infinergy Pacific has sold its 120MW Metz Solar Farm in New South Wales to clean energy investors.
When constructed, the project will be one of the largest solar farms in NSW, meeting the annual electricity demands for up to 40,000 average homes.
The solar farm, situated 20km east of Armidale, was developed by Infinergy Pacific, a subsidiary of UK-based renewable energy company Infinergy.
Infinergy obtained planning permission for the solar project in July last year.
“We are delighted to have achieved the successful development and the subsequent sale of Metz Solar Farm, all within a timeframe of 18 months,” Infinergy CEO Esbjorn Wilmar said.
“This project is part of a wider portfolio of solar farms we are working on in Australia.
“By the end of this year, we expect to have secured development rights including grid connections for another 300MW of solar, both in NSW and Victoria.”
