Emissions Reduction Fund auction, to be held on April 27 and 28, 2016, is closing at midnight (AEDT) tonight, Thursday, March 24, 2016.

Qualification is only open to projects that submitted an application to register by March 9, 2016. Registrations received have shown a strong interest in this auction, with many new project applications submitted in the week leading up to March 9, paving the way for a competitive auction.

Projects that qualify to participate in this auction are required to complete auction registration by April 18, 2016.

The third auction will again be run as a single-round, pay-as-bid auction format. Results of the auction will be made available on the Clean Energy Regulator website by close of business Thursday,  May 5, 2016.

The Clean Energy Regulator has previously confirmed its intention to hold the fourth auction in the final quarter of the 2016 calendar year. Those interested in participating are encouraged to allow plenty of time to plan, register and qualify for the next auction.

More information about the third auction can be found on the Clean Energy Regulator website.
