A spokesperson for NSW Rural Fire Service said a 92ha grass fire was brought under control as heatwave conditions fuelled bushfires across New South Wales.

Lightsource bp said, “The incident has been fully contained, with no ongoing fire activity. Our incident response protocols were activated immediately, and our teams worked closely with emergency services as they managed the situation.”

“At this stage, no damage is expected to major equipment. The site is currently operating at around 90% capacity and is expected to be fully operational shortly.”

Wellington North Solar Farm is a 425MWdc solar farm approximately seven kilometres north-east of Wellington in the Orana region of NSW.
