CS Energy is among 19 Australian energy companies who have published their annual Energy Charter Disclosure Reports.

The Energy Charter is a national CEO-led collaboration that supports the energy sector towards a customer-centric future. Signatories’ disclosures outline improvements they have made to be more customer focused over the past 12 months.

The reports also measure the progress signatories have made against the recommendations handed down by the Energy Charter’s Independent Accountability Panel last year.

CS Energy’s 2020 progress

CS Energy CEO Andrew Bills said CS Energy had taken significant steps towards becoming a more customer-focused business in the past 12 months.

“We have doubled our number of commercial and industrial retail customers, and provided them with innovative energy solutions such as electric vehicle charging stations,” Mr Bills said.

“We also completed our first independent survey to understand what customers and energy brokers want from an electricity retailer.”

Mr Bills said CS Energy was in the early stages of its strategy to become a diversified energy company, which was reflected in its self-assessed maturity levels under the Energy Charter’s Maturity Framework.

“We are making progress, but we still have a long way to go,” he said.

“We have outlined in the report the areas where plan to improve to achieve our maturity level targets for FY2023.”
