Squadron Energy‘s proposed 594MW Bookham Wind Farm, to be built on Ngunnawal Country 30km west of Yass in New South Wales, has been submitted for approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

Bookham Wind Farm will feature 99 turbines and be supported by a 250MW/1GWh battery energy storage system (BESS). It will produce enough electricity to power around 321,000 homes and prevent 322,000 tonnes of emissions annually.
The project formally entered the NSW planning system in February by requesting the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) to prepare the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
A scoping report was submitted detailing key information and identifying environmental and social considerations for the project.
Squadron Energy recently submitted its proposed 300MW Conargo Wind Farm and associated 8-hour battery near Deniliquin in New South Wales for federal approval.

Owned by Andrew Forrest’s Tattarang Group, Squadron Energy has 1.1GW of renewable energy in operation and 900MW under construction.
