Viridian joins with Click Energy and gets into Australian retail market

Viridian enters the Australian energy market this week by offering energy products to the Queensland, New South Wales, Victorian and South Australian markets through a partnership with Click Energy.

Viridian has built more than 3600 relationships to be able to offer affordable, responsible electricity and natural gas products to customers.

In June Veridian announced its partnership with Click Energy, an online energy retailer with more than 130,000 customers in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

Viridian vice president Robert A. McFadden said Click Energy had a commitment to better the environment which mirrored Viridian’s.

“Together we are able to offer customers an innovative, transparent rate structure they can depend on each month,” Mr McFadden said.

Through Click Energy, Viridian offers energy products at simple, low rates with no contracts or exit fees.

And in a world first, Click Energy offers its products completely online, which allows them to pass savings onto the customer.

Click Energy CEO Dominic Drenen said consistent, low rates will allow customers to expect reliable and affordable monthly bills.

“That, partnered with Viridian’s use of carbon offsets to counterbalance greenhouse gas emissions, allows us to deliver environmentally-friendly energy options at competitive prices,” he said.
