CSIRO reappoints Marshall as Chief Executive

Dr Harry Marshall will continue to head up the CSIRO until 2020.

Dr Larry Marshall has been reappointed as CSIRO’S Chief Executive until June 30, 2020.

Chair of CSIRO David Thodey made the announcement last week.

“This reappointment underpins our commitment to CSIRO’s Strategy 2020—Australia’s Innovation Catalyst, which Dr Marshall has our support to execute,” Mr Thodey said.

“Our task as Australia’s Innovation Catalyst is great, but if we get this right we will help Australia navigate a world that is changing rapidly and ensure our country is sustainable and prosperous well into the future.

“We are committed to CSIRO delivering outstanding science for the benefit of Australia and Australian industry.”
