The proposed Yathroo Wind Farm will comprise up to 65 wind turbines and will be located on freehold land approximately 8km south of Dandaragan and 8km north of Regans Ford.

This project will take advantage of some of the best wind resources in the state to provide affordable and clean electricity.

Yathroo Wind Farm would also be accompanied by a 400MW/3200MWh battery that would be the biggest of its kind in Australia.

The project can connect into the state’s South West Interconnected System (SWIS) from an existing 330/132kV transmission line near its southern western boundary. The transmission line is due to be upgraded by Western Power to a dual circuit 330kV line.

If approved, Yathroo Wind Farm will be Neoen Australia’s fifth project in Western Australia, alongside  the Collie Battery Stage 1 and Stage 2, the Muchea Battery, and Narrogin Wind Farm.
