Neoen’s Goyder North battery is proposed to deliver a massive 900MW and 3.6GWh of storage, and will be build beside a 1GW wind farm.

Neoen has already commenced Goyder South Stage 1 with 1.2GW of wind generation, 600MW of solar generation and 900MW of battery storage capacity.

The proposed Goyder North Battery would dwarf Neoen’s 300MW/450MWh Victorian Big Battery near Geelong, which is currently the nation’s largest battery.

The Goyder North Battery would also overtake Akaysha‘s 700MW/1.4GWh Waratah Super Battery in New South Wales, which is set to wear the crown of the world’s most powerful battery.
