Australian energy retailer Nectr has introduced cleaner, more affordable energy plans for Victorians struggling with rising energy costs.

Since establishing itself as a player in Australia’s energy market in 2019, Nectr has amassed a significant customer base that values affordable electricity plans that also contribute towards a greener future.

Nectr managing director Andrew Butler said it was the responsibility of energy providers to be transparent with Australians, and ‘go into battle’ for their customers to ensure they are receiving the best deals on the market.

“Nectr has always been about holding the ‘big players’ to account. We came into the Australian market with a vision to clean up energy to make it better for everyone. Today, as we include Victoria into our distribution network for electricity only plans (Nectr released its solar and battery bundles to all Victorians in December 2022), we’re excited to offer Victorian households an energy alternative that can make a difference to their hip pocket and the future of the country.

“Victorians have the chance to look for a better energy deal than what they’re currently on, and some may even be eligible for a rebate if they do so. It’s also about looking long term and choosing an energy plan that suits your lifestyle and is underpinned by a commitment to positive action for the future,” Butler said.

In 2022, Nectr’s was recognised for having the cheapest electricity plans in NSW, ACT and Qld, best value GreenPower plan in NSW, cheapest GreenPower plan in Qld, and outstanding value electricity plans in Qld. Nectr also achieved finalist status for best rated electricity brands in NSW and Qld.

From 23 February 2023, Victorian residents can access Nectr’s cleaner energy plans, including Nectr 100% Clean—a 100% carbon neutral electricity plan with fixed energy rates for 12 months that makes a positive impact on the environment.
