Horizon Power appoints international renewables expert

Terry Mohn

International renewable energy expert Terry Mohn has been appointed to the position of General Manager Microgrid Developments at Horizon Power.

Mr Mohn is a leading figure in the electric energy industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, with over 30 yearsโ€™ experience. Heย will provide Horizon Power with strategic guidance in all parts of its microgrid operations, along with specific accountability for fast-tracking the development of the businessโ€™ microgrid capabilities in partnership with industry counterparts in Western Australia.

Mr Mohn’s experience incorporates roles as executive consultant of Open Access Technology International (OATI), CEO of General Microgrids, vice president innovation of BAE Systems ($40B US revenue), chief technology strategist for the Sempra Energy Utilities ($10B US revenue) and board member of a number of start-ups, as well as consulting strategist for large infrastructure companies.

Horizon Power managing director Frank Tudor said Mr Mohn’s appointment was a coup for the organisation.
