Green Gold Energy’s Morgan Solar Farm gets grid approval

Green Gold Energy’s Morgan Solar Farm has received grid connection approval from Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and ElectraNet, confirming the project meets the required Generator Performance Standard.

Developed by Green Gold Energy, with CHINT as a major shareholder, Morgan Solar Farm is a 108MW solar photovoltaic project with a 440MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

Located on a 622ha site within the Mid Murray Council area in South Australia’s Stuart region, Morgan Solar Farm is designed to support South Australia’s transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy system.

Once operational, Morgan Solar Farm is expected to generate approximately 279GWh of clean electricity annually, enough to meet the average annual electricity needs of around 50,950 households.

Morgan Solar Farm is expected to contribute to regional employment, improved energy security, and emissions reduction, while supporting South Australia’s renewable energy targets.
