Energy Queensland appoints Patrick Brady as chair

Energy Queensland has announced the appointment of Patrick Brady as its new chair.

Brady has a distinguished career in civil engineering and a deep commitment to public service and regional development. He has led major projects across urban development, infrastructure, agriculture and mining, and is the founder and chair of Premise—one of Queensland’s most respected engineering firms.

Brady also serves as chair of the board at Mater Misericordiae, which operates Queensland’s largest not-for-profit network of public and private hospitals. He also contributes to national healthcare policy and governance as a non-executive director of Catholic Health Australia. 

“Patrick’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Energy Queensland as we continue to lead the state’s energy transition,” the company said in a statement.

“His extensive governance experience, strategic insight, and passion for sustainable development align strongly with our mission to deliver safe, affordable, and reliable energy for all Queenslanders. We are confident that his leadership will help guide our organisation through the opportunities and challenges ahead.
