Energy leaders gather for Australian Energy Week 2026

More than 1,200 senior energy professionals from over 250 organisations will gather at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre this week for Australian Energy Week 2026, one of the largest and most influential events on the Australian energy calendar.

Taking place from 9–12 June 2026, Australian Energy Week will bring together energy producers, network operators, regulators, policymakers, technology providers and major energy users to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping Australia’s energy future.

Featured speakers include senior executives from organisations such as ENGIE, Macquarie Group, Octopus Investments, Powerlink Queensland, Energy Security Corporation, Essential Energy, Ampyr, Akaysha, and SEC Victoria. With more than 130 expert speakers across 60 conference sessions, the event will provide strategic insights into investment, decarbonisation, energy security, reliability, grid transformation, market reform, digital innovation and the accelerating energy transition.

Alongside the main conference, the Australian Energy Week Expo will be held on 10–11 June, offering free access to industry professionals keen to explore emerging technologies, innovative solutions and practical strategies being adopted across the energy sector.

A key addition to this year’s program is the Machines & HV Assets Conference, running on 10–11 June and designed specifically for engineers, asset owners, high-voltage specialists, rotating machine professionals and reliability leaders responsible for Australia’s critical energy infrastructure.

The event is expected to facilitate valuable networking opportunities across the entire energy value chain, connecting delegates with utilities, developers, technology providers, government representatives and major industrial energy users.

The Australian Energy Week Expo offers free access to attendees and includes the popular Insights Stage, where industry experts will showcase technologies and solutions addressing real-world challenges in grid modernisation, digital transformation, asset management, artificial intelligence, renewable energy integration and customer engagement.
