Endeavour Energy is looking for 12 bright new recruits to become part of the next generation of electricity workers powering growth in Greater Western Sydney and surrounding regions.

Endeavour Energy CEO Guy Chalkley said, “We’re searching for talented individuals who reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve to help power the region for many years to come.

“Greater Western Sydney is already home to one in every 11 Australians, with its population projected to reach three million by 2036, with growth across areas of the South Coast too.

“Our area includes Australia’s most transformational infrastructure projects, the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and Western Sydney International Airport. These projects are game changers for the region.

“An Endeavour Energy apprenticeship puts you on the doorstep of a thriving economic hub delivering new jobs, homes, infrastructure and services in the heart of Western Sydney.

“These apprenticeships provide the next generation of enthusiastic tradespeople rich and rewarding careers.”

Mr Chalkley said the new apprenticeships were a significant investment in job creation by the Endeavour Energy Board to help power a better future for our customers and communities.

“We are after people from all kinds of backgrounds to help us build a diverse and inclusive workforce while developing skilled team members to meet our future needs,” Mr Chalkley said.

“The successful candidates will start their apprenticeships at our Hoxton Park Technical Training Centre, one of the most modern, purpose built, electrical training facilities in NSW.

“Central to their apprentice training will be learning to do their jobs in a way that keeps themselves, their work mates and the community safe.”

“Subject to meeting strict performance criteria, apprentices will graduate after four years with a nationally recognised Electrotechnology Electrician qualification, opening the gateway to countless work opportunities right across Australia,” he said.

Applications are open from October 2-21.

Successful applicants will start their training in March 2021. Interested applicants are invited to lodge their applications at https://careers.endeavourenergy.com.au.
