Discover Energy expands VPP services across Australia

Discover Energy has announced it is expanding its Virtual Power Plant (VPP) offering across two additional states and territories in Australia.

Households in both Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory will be able to take advantage of Discover Energy’s VPP software and energy trading platform. Users with solar panels, a battery and eligible PV inverter can join Discover Energy, accessing the energy trading platform to sell excess stored battery energy back to the grid and premium solar feed-in tariffs for reduced energy bills.

Since launching into the market last year, Discover Energy has gone from strength to strength, bringing on five partners to its VPP network to benefit Australians with existing solar technology and expanding into five states/territories nationwide.

Discovery Energy leverages proprietary software and data to execute electricity price forecasting, enabling customers to sell their energy back at optimal periods for significant savings and revenue opportunities. Customers can make their own independent trades or opt in to allow the Discovery Energy Algorithm to trade on their behalf.
