Buyer wanted for Mumbida Wind Farm

NAB Financial Advisory is seeking a buyer for Western Australia’s 50 per cent stake in the Mumbida Wind Farm, 340km north of Perth.

Mumbida is owned by WA-owned power retailer Synergy, which is seeking to sell its half share. Infrastructure Capital Group (ICG) has owned the other half since 2012.

The 55MW renewable energy project – one of the state’s largest –  has a 15-year contract to supply power to WA’s Water Corporation. It also has the potential to be expanded to 65MW in future.

There are 12-years remaining under the offtake agreement with Water Corporation and seven years under the initial operation and maintenance contract.
