More than 2.58 million small-scale solar power systems have been installed across Australia, representing 5GW of generating capacity.
In August, 7599 small-scale systems were installed across Australia including 2208 in Queensland, 1642 in Western Australia, and 1574 in New South Wales.
The Clean Energy Regulator’s (CER) August report shows an increasing number of Australians taking up solar, with Queensland installing the most small-scale solar systems.
Queensland isn’t called the sunshine state for nothing, leading the nation with 448,447 systems installed across the state followed by New South Wales with a total of 342,998 installations.
Of the August installations, 365 small commercial-scale solar PV systems (10-100kW) were installed across the nation, again with Queensland having the greatest number.
