Network operator Ausgrid has announced a major executive-level appointment, naming Fatima Bazzi as its new group executive customer, effective immediately.

This key change structurally elevates the focus on Ausgrid’s growing customer base and evolving network requirements to the highest executive level, with the new customer group consolidating the organisation’s customer connections, and customer and commercial business units.

Ausgrid CEO Marc England said, “As our customer base and network requirements continue to grow and evolve, this exciting change reinforces our essential focus on customers across the business—right up to the top.

“On behalf of the board and executives, I congratulate Fatima Bazzi on her appointment and look forward to the significant contribution she will make as a member of our executive leadership team in enhancing the experience for all Ausgrid customers,” he said.

Bazzi brings 16 years of diverse Ausgrid experience to the role, having worked across many critical areas of the business, including asset management, network operations, transformation, and portfolio planning.

Most recently, Fatima led the customer connections business unit in CA&D, delivering innovative projects such as Connections Excellence and driving a strategic focus on electrification growth for major customers.
