Atmos Renewables has partnered with Parron Developments to deliver the project, which has also secured state development and EPA approvals.
If it goes ahead, Parron Wind Farm will located north of the Badgingarra National Park, approximately 200km north of Perth in the north-eastern wheatbelt region of Western Australia.
The wind farm will comprise up to 79 wind turbine generators capable of producing up to 489MW. The area encompasses approximately 8,400ha of agricultural land and the site is exposed to some of the best wind capacity factors in the southern hemisphere.
Parron Wind Farm will be connected to the existing 330kV transmission network which is situated within the development envelope.
