ActewAGL has provided Canberra Show entry tickets, showbag vouchers and ride tickets to six local charities: the Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group, Camp Quality, LeukaemiaFoundation, SIDS and Kids ACT, Marymead and the Canberra Hospital Foundation.

ActewAGL’s brand and communications manager said the company is proud to support local charities, will give the show packs to families going through a difficult time.

Leukaemia Foundation’s Anais le Gall said the experiences will give families who have to deal with the diagnosis of a blood cancer the opportunity to enjoy a day out together, without having to think about their diagnosis or treatment.

“As always we’re just so grateful for the support of ActewAGL. These tickets will be great for our families; they are going to our Puggles mother’s group,” SIDS and Kids ACT’s Lisa Ridgley said.

“They are bereaved mums who have other children, they come together every Monday to meet in our Chifley offices and this will be great for them.”

Noah’s Farm Pig Racing will return to ActewAGL Alley this year with a charitable twist. The child that names the winning pig will receive their very own toy piglet to snuggle at home.
