The collaboration aims to support a more stable, resilient energy system as renewable penetration continues to grow in the German market.
Commenting on the partnership agreement on LinkedIn, Akaysha CEO and managing director Nick Carter said, “Folk may not be aware that my mum immigrated from Germany (Munich) in the 1960s, as a young adult, with no English, no money, little education, and made Australia home.
“This is kind of a full circle moment, taking Akaysha Energy back to Germany/Europe. I’ve got plenty of relatives back in Germany and my sister has been based in Europe for 20 years.
“The Germany energy market is set and ready to utilise the benefits of utility scale storage. With Copenhagen Energy and our partnerships this is going to be fun. I’m proud to be able to take Aussie know how and experience in this field back to Europe.”
