Intium to deliver connection for 32MW Mulwala Solar Farm

High-voltage infrastructure company Intium has formalised a major connection contract for the 32MW Mulwala Solar Farm.

Intium has been awarded a build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) contract by European Energy Australia for the delivery of connection infrastructure at the 32MW Mulwala Solar Farm in southern New South Wales.

The project, located near Lambruk, 2km north of Mulwala, will see Intium deliver the full connection scope including the design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of a 22kV switching station. This includes a two-kilometre underground cable linking the Solar Farm to Essential Energy’s Mulwala Zone Substation.

Intium will deliver the full connection scope including design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning. Throughout the project, the Intium team will work closely with European Energy and advance the project through established connection processes with the local distribution network operator (Essential Energy)to ensure seamless integration into the local network.

The Mulwala Solar Farm is currently scheduled to be energised in 2026, with early works already underway to help accelerate the project, and onsite construction expected to commence in October 2025.
