Earth grid injection, step, touch and soil resistivity testing were all in a day’s work for the Zinfra Testing and Commissioning team in Queensland.
The team undertook testing work for Ergon Energy at three substations, which involved assessing the condition of the substation earth grids as part of Ergon Energy’s ongoing OPEX maintenance program.
Additional work was also undertaken by the Zinfra Testing and Commissioning team for Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU) at its Wacol Sewage Treatment Plant. Testing at the treatment plant was required to feed into the new earth grid design associated with an 11kV switchboard replacement project.
