Solstice Energy has reinforced its partnership with Gentrack, a provider of next gen solutions for utilities, to mark its foray into the electricity market.
For over 20 years, Solstice Energy (formerly Tas Gas Group) has been a gas retailer in Tasmania and regional Victoria. The company has decided to expand its offering to include electricity retailing.

Based in Launceston, Solstice Energy aims to onboard 3,000 new electricity customers within the first three months.

Gentrack’s cutting-edge, easy-to-use technology provides a stable billing system, a single source of truth for customer data, and the flexibility to support both gas and electricity offerings,” the company said in a statement.
“Gentrack’s data-driven insights enabled Solstice Energy to transform its business and introduce innovative new products, fulfilling customer expectations and market demands.”
Gentrack general manager Australia Mark Humphreys said, “This rebrand marks a bold move for Solstice Energy as it enters the electricity market, becoming a true challenger in the Tasmanian energy sector.
