Sanderson named energy minister for Western Australia

The Cook Labor Government has been re-elected in Western Australia, with the Hon Amber-Jane Sanderson replacing Reece Whitby as Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation.

Sanderson is the member for Morley and was appointed Minister for Health and Minister for Mental Health in 2021.

Premier Roger Cook said the new Cabinet would focus on economic diversification, energy transition, future jobs, and manufacturing.

“My new Cabinet team has the experience, energy and talent to deliver for all Western Australians.

“My government has a bold vision for Western Australia.
