Partnership drives power to the consumer

Osaki Electric subsidiary, EDMI, has reached an historic agreement to provide software and related services to Active Stream, an Australian metering services business, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of AGL Energy Limited.

Andrew Thomas, EDMI Australasia executive director said the partnership – which will include EDMI supplying a range of metering and cloud-based software solutions – will benefit consumers as the market comes to terms with what he called “the communification of energy”.

The five-year deal is the first major agreement signed in response to the Power of Choice regulatory changes in Australia.
