In a post on LinkedIn, GreenSync founder and CEO Phil Blythe has announced he will be stepping down from the position of CEO of the company after 10 years at the helm.

GreenSync’s current chairman Mark Wooddall will be stepping into an executive chair role to take the company through to the next chapter.

Dr Blythe will remain as a director of GreenSync and ambassador for the company.

He says that it has been a long and fascinating journey to see the role of distributed energy grow in the last 10 years to where it is now shaping our power systems around the world.

“I’m proud of what we’ve achieved in that time, and of all the amazing people, colleagues and close friends who have contributed to this vision over the years,” Dr Blythe said.

“But the transformation isn’t done, so I’ll still remain working on the leading edge of technologies to bring about that change for the coming decade. Thanks to all for your support so far.”

Mark Woodall has been the chairman of GreenSync for two-and-a-half years and has a number of other chairman and board positions.
