Flow Power has formed a partnership with Gridserve Global, a leader in delivering best-in-class net zero electric vehicle (EV) charging networks.

The partnership will see the companies deliver an Australia-wide public network of ultra-fast EV chargers commencing in 2025. The state-of-the-art EV charging network, to be known as the Flow Power Highway, will set a new benchmark for charging infrastructure in Australia.

Flow Power will leverage Gridserve’s extensive expertise honed through its management’s previous successes in rolling out EV charging infrastructure across the UK.

Gridserve’s Electric Highway is one of the UK’s most-utilised EV charging networks. Through their Electric Forecourts and Electric Super Hubs across the UK, the network charges about 250,000 electric cars, vans and trucks every month with more than 6 million kWhs of net zero electricity.

“EV charging is a natural extension of Flow Power’s mission to empower Australians to actively participate in and benefit from the energy transition,” Flow Power CEO Matthew van der Linden says.

“We know that charging infrastructure and range anxiety are key barriers for many people considering an EV, and this partnership aims to break down that barrier. With Gridserve Global’s world-class experience deploying and operating charging infrastructure and Flow Power’s energy expertise, we’re building a future where EVs ownership is easier, more reliable and powered by renewable energy”.

“We are delighted to have joined forces with Flow Power to build a strong partnership and deliver a Partner Network together in Australia,” Gridserve Global CEO Toddington Harper says.

“We are looking forward to the journey ahead and providing maximum support in rolling out a world class sun-to-wheel electric vehicle charging network for both cars and trucks.”

Over the coming months, Flow Power and Gridserve will finalise plans for the joint venture, defining the roadmap for deploying the Flow Power Highway and shaping Australia’s EV future.
