Corrosion and Prevention 2016

Nov 13, 2016 - Nov 16, 2016

Each year the ACA organises the conference and trade exhibition to support and promote all efforts to minimise the impact of corrosion. C&P2016 will be held in Auckland’s SkyCity Convention Centre and will bring together leading researchers and industry practitioners who combat corrosion on a daily basis.

Industry experts will deliver five plenary addresses—including the P.F. Thompson Lecture—and 83 seminars across four technical streams, in addition to six forums. The Technical Group Forums are a vital part of the conference and provide opportunities for industry and technical information exchange through in-depth discussions, debating of ideas and solutions as well as collaboration in areas that require a ‘whole of industry’ approach. In particular, the Asset Management Forum will highlight asset management practices to help organisations improve efficiency and reduce costs by identifying the lowest lifecycle cost construction, maintenance and renewal options.

The Australasian Corrosion Association Incorporated (ACA) is a not-for-profit, industry association, established in 1955 to service the needs of Australian and New Zealand companies, organisations and individuals involved in the fight against corrosion.

The vision of the ACA is that corrosion is managed sustainably and cost effectively to ensure the health and safety of the community and protection of the environment.
