With so many community groups focused on their response to COVID-19, Ergon and Energex have extended the deadline for applications to the 2020 Ergon-Energex Community Fund.

Applicants for grants of up to $5000 now have until 5pm, Monday, April 6, 2020 to submit their application online.

Executive general manager of community, customer and corporate affairs Michael Dart said the financial support would provide a much-needed boost in a challenging year, with a total of $100,000 to be shared across Queensland.

“We welcome applications from any grassroots groups with big ideas to help their communities thrive or support their communities during tough times,” Mr Dart said.

“Through last year’s Ergon-Energex Community Fund we were able to help a number of community groups in areas devastated by natural disasters, as well as organisations that support some of the most vulnerable members of society.”
