Endeavour Energy appoints interim CEO

Leanne Pickering has been named Endeavour Energy's interim CEO.

The Chairman of Endeavour Energy Robert Webster has announced the appointment of Leanne Pickering as its interim CEO, effective July 1, 2019.

Current CEO Tony Narvaez will be leaving Endeavour Energy later this year having accepted the managing director’s role at AusNet Services.

“Leanne, our current Company Secretary and General Counsel, is a high calibre leader who brings more than 20 years’ industry experience in infrastructure companies including DUET and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA),” Mr Webster said.

“She’s also held senior roles spanning health and safety, company secretarial, legal, risk and human resources, compliance and audit functions.

“Leanne has impressed with her diligence and focus in ensuring the business continues its company-wide transformation, delivering strong business outcomes without compromising safety or reliability.

“The Board is encouraged by the positive momentum that the business has been building and want to ensure this continues with pace.

“These attributes stand Leanne in very good stead for her success in the role, and we look forward to working with her on a smooth handover,” Mr Webster said.

Ms Pickering said she was excited about the opportunity to lead Endeavour Energy as it continues the push to be the best performing network in Australia.

“I am passionate about looking after the safety and well-being of our people and helping them to do their best work as we instil a customer-centric culture at Endeavour,” Leanne said.

The Board of Endeavor Energy will shortly commence the process of a formal search for a permanent CEO.
