Customers happy with Red Energy service

The energy retail subsidiary of Snowy Hydro, Red Energy, has received the highest customer satisfaction rating for the utilities sector in a national poll by Roy Morgan.

The market research company collects customer satisfaction ratings from approximately 50,000 Australians each year and scores businesses on how they meet customers’ needs and expectations.

Red Energy chief executive officer Iain Graham said the company’s commitment to maintaining personal relationships is its clear differentiator.

“Our entire customer solutions team live and work in Australia. Every call is answered by someone in Australia,” he said.

Snowy Hydro chief executive officer Paul Broad said customer satisfaction is a primary reason the company  – which provides natural gas and electricity to retail customers in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia – now has more than 365,000 customers.

“I would encourage anyone looking for a better deal on their electricity to call Red Energy or go to their website. While all of us at Snowy Hydro are very proud of the results Red Energy is achieving, independent recognition of Red Energy’s Customer satisfaction through Roy Morgan Research is just as pleasing,” he said.

“In fact Red Energy was also rated the highest in customer satisfaction also in September and October in 2013.”
