Broadspectrum has been awarded a $140 million contract with BP Kwinana Refinery to deliver maintenance, turnaround and brownfield construction services.
Broadspectrum managing director and chief executive officer Tom Quinn said, “We have more than 60 years of experience delivering asset management and turnarounds to blue-chip oil and gas clients globally.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with BP Kwinana Refinery, and to share our ability to provide industry leading services to support complex scopes of work with a disciplined approach to safety, costs and schedule.”
“Through our Centre of Excellence for Resources, we also expect to boost innovation on the site and to continue to build a locally-based highly-skilled team with the training and development support available to us as a global company.”

The scope of services to the Refinery will include routine maintenance, tank maintenance, projects, and turnaround services including mechanical, electrical, scaffolding, painting, insulation, civil works and subcontractor management.
BP Kwinana Refinery managing director Brett Swayn said, “We are committed to maintaining Australia’s largest Refinery, and its sustainability as a secure fuel source for Australia.
“This new contract also provides ongoing and long-term career opportunities for oil and gas professionals who want to work local to where they live.”
The contract has an initial term of four years with a two-year extension option. Transition will commence today and Broadspectrum is scheduled to commence site operations on August 5, 2019.
