The AEMC said in a statement, “We are thrilled that Anna will continue to lead us through the opportunities and challenges of the energy transformation.”
Collyer was appointed chair of the Australian Energy Market Commission in February 2021. She has more than two decades of experience in the Australian energy sector and has worked extensively on industry reform.
Along with her role as chair of AEMC, Collyer was appointed chair of the Energy Security Board in 2021, and is now a member of the Energy Advisory Panel.
In a speech marking the AEMC’s 20th anniversary in November, Collyer said, “Since becoming Chair, I have sought to leverage the AEMC’s unique vantage point to cultivate that constructive collaboration.
“You can see it in the diverse partnerships that shape our reviews—like our pricing review. In the work of the Reliability Panel, and the countless roundtables and working groups seeking shared solutions to shared challenges. And, of course, through the growing number of rule changes brought forward by industry, government, consumer groups and our fellow market bodies.
