AGL Energy has announced that Richard Wrightson has resigned from the role of Executive General Manager, Wholesale Markets, a position he has held for nearly 10 years.

AGL CEO Brett Redman said, “Richard has made a significant contribution during his time at AGL. He has been a passionate supporter of AGL and has established a strong foundation for growth and transformation in the future. We thank Richard for his service and wish him well in his future career.”

AGL says Richard will continue in his role until early 2020 and will work closely with the CEO and AGL’s Wholesale Markets team to ensure a smooth and orderly transition of the role.

On his resignation, Mr Wrightson said, “A little bit of a sad day for me as I’ve decided to resign from AGL.

“I will still be around supporting my team through the transition but it is time to do something new.”
